Depression, Anxiety, it sucks

Hope everyone had a Blessed Litha, a Merry Yule for the Southern Hemispherers and just a happy first day of Summer for everyone else. I've been having a lot going through my mind lately and been trying to sort through them all. My doctor put me on Zoloft again, I hate depression and anxiety. It's been lingering over me for so many years, no matter how much I fight, I think it has to do with lack of support. I just feel so alone sometimes and I think is it really worth still living here on this earth, no one really likes me that much, yes they say they do, but where are they? Do you know what stops me from just not wanting to be here anymore? My kids, my lights , my reason to want to live. They are the most important people to me. I could never leave them, one parent already left them. I can't do that to them. So it's a struggle from day to day. I feel like I'm a failure, no good at anything. I want a job, but don't have any experience, don't know what I'd be good at doing. I really want office work, but my typing skills aren't quick enough, I'm not quick enough for any employer, believe me I've heard it so many times and it gets really frustrating when you try your best, but its not good enough. I'm sorry for being all Debbie Downer today, I just needed to get everything off my chest, it was hurting me too much keeping it all in.

Computer Issues

Sorry for the absence again, my computer is having so many damn issues at the moment I can't really do much, wish I could get it fixed or get a new one, one or the other would be nice, but the money isn't there. So anyways I may be able to post and I might not, but I will try not to let it go for too long. I swear its me though because my daughter has no problems with it, just me when I sit close to it, it freezes, it goes all wonky, it just plain stops. I'm just getting so frustrated. I have magnetic appeal...lol

Horse Racing, fantasies, Johnny Depp and other excitements from the day

The title alone shows how much I have going through my lovely head all at once, so I was looking forward to watching "I'll have Another" win the Belmont today, but the poor baby had to be retired yesterday due to on coming tendonitis, so better than he be put down after a hard long race, wishing him a speedy recovery, So I rooted for Union Rags and he won, didn't look promising at the beginning, but he pulled through...yayyyyy. Today is Johnny Depp's Birthday, damn I love him to pieces, well I love Adam Lambert a little more, but hey a girl can dream, put me in between the both of them and I shall die a happy death. It doesn't matter if Adam is Gay, it's my fantasy..hehehe ( is it getting warm in here) soooo any how, today was so crappy with rain, it was raining all day, tomorrow is going to be better according to the weatherman, did I say other excitements for today? Nope nothing really happened that was exciting

A couple of Vegetarian Recipes

Vegetable Soup

1 Can Tomato Juice (I prefer the vegetable cocktail, gives the soup some extra flavour, but you can use whatever you like.
1 Can of Corn
3 potatoes, peeled and chopped
2 cups of mini carrots, cut in half
1 onion, chopped
3-4 stalks of celery, peeled and chopped
1/2 head of cauliflower, chopped
1/2 carton of  vegetable soup stock

Add all ingredients to a crock pot or a big soup pot, season to taste

*Optional: Add one can of drained and rinsed lentils or chickpeas

Cook on high in Crockpot for 4 hrs or bring to a boil on stove top, reduce heat and simmer until vegetables are tender

Vegetarian Stir Fry

Stir fry potatoes or sweet potatoes( I like the sweet potatoes, adds extra vitamins), add some onions, zucchini, corn, peppers, garlic, whatever kind of veggie you like. At the end, when the veggies are almost tender, add the black beans and diced tomatoes. Add Cumin and chili powder( 1 tsp of each) while stir frying and also a pinch of salt and pepper. When finished, you can add cheese, ketchup, sour cream, yogurt, Tabasco sauce as a topping. For a change, you can add Tofu instead of the black beans

cooking time; 45 min- 1hr

Favorite books

I was thinking about this today, what were some of my books that I really enjoyed reading when I was growing up and there is a couple that I think about quite a bit. One being Charlotte's Web by E.B. White, I don't know how many times I've read that book and I loved every minute of it, about a sweet little pig named Wilbur who was the runt of the litter and was saved numerous times from being slaughtered by a spider named Charlotte, Charlotte wrote messages in her web like Some Pig, Terrific, radiant, and Humble, these messages persuaded the farmer not to kill Wilbur, and it made Wilbur famous. My favorite would have to be Templeton, a funny gluttonous, rat who was more than willing to help out for a price of food, he would go out and find the words for Charlotte to use. Oh the good ole memories, another book I was thinking about and can never seem to find any more is a book called Magic Elizabeth by Norma Kassirer, oh my gosh, I love this story, my grand mother had a copy of it at her house long time ago and I was immediately hooked. It's a story of a little girl named Sally who goes to visit her scary Aunt Sarah and cat named Shadow for the summer and is immediately drawn into a mystery when she sees a portrait of another little girl and her doll hanging on her aunt's wall. The mystery begins when she finds an old mirror up in the attic and starts seeing these images of the little girl who is also named Sally playing her doll, I won't go into it more that would ruin the mystery of the book, if you ever find it I highly recommend it for you or your child.

Frustrations

Sitting here wondering why do I suck so much on writing, why do I have writers block, how do I get rid of this writers block and how do I get more followers. I follow lots of other bloggers, and yes I am bloody well complaining as it is my blog I can say whatever I want. I'm wondering how does a 13 year get over 600 followers on her blog, she only shares pictures, I write what is on my mind and I only have 6, I must be boring as watching a golf game on tv...zzzzzzzz..but no I don't think I am, okay so I've been gone for awhile, but I'm here now and I'm trying, so if any of my followers that I have left, feel free to share me please and thank you. So yes Frustrations is what this blog is all about today. I'm thinking I have this creative writing book where it gives you prompts and ideas, maybe I'll start using that. YEAH that's it I will, a few little stories won't kill you right? :) Tomorrow will be a better day. Tomorrow Tomorrow I'll love ya tomorrow, you're only a day away.

Apologies for long absence

Holy Crap it has been quite awhile since my last post, November 6th 2011...hmmmm. Alot happened since then that's for sure, Let's see, I was trying to get NanoWriMo in order, working my butt off trying to get it done, but nooooo I end up fracturing my ankle real bad, so bad it needed a plate and 12 screws to hold it together, spent a week in the hospital which was fucking boring as hell. This was November 20th, spent a month and a half at my mom and dads place having them care for me and my girls which pretty much made this writing thing disappear, going to be ready for next time and not leaving the house till its done. I wish no one a broken ankle, well maybe a few people, but that's a different story. So anyhow, still recovering almost 7 months later, got a feeling my ankle will never be the same again. What else has happened since my last post, let's see, got a new kitty. His name is Esso, mostly black with a little white on his chest and underbelly. Oh my Gosh the most sweetest, annoying, lovable, attention loving cat we ever owned. He's annoying because he meows to much and I have no clue what he wants and neither do my daughters, but we love him anyways. Some sad news, back in March we lost Rascal our Rat, poor little guy :( he died a happy life though. I figured it was time for me to restart writing again, damn depression overtook me during these past few months and I hated it, I went through some pretty dark times. What better place to start writing, then my lovely little blog, maybe that might get some creative juices flowing. Just wanted to stop by again and say hi <3

This is Esso;

I'm here, but not really

OMG, I am so sorry for not posting, so busy doing other things lately. Okay, so I've started this NaNoWriMo this month for the first time and quite frankly I'm really behind schedule. I need to get back on schedule by...oh 10000 words or more (I only have 1262). I wish that writing muse of mine would get her ass outta the clouds and help me here. Kinda hard to do when you're writing a new novel, by the brain that you have when it doesn't work properly. The outline is there but the words aren't coming as fast as I would like them too, yet I'm writing this blog with no problem, hmmm go figure. I probably won't be posting here too often this month if I want to succeed at 50000 words this month. I can do this I really can, I just need to commit. I need to get everything done that needs to be done first, make sure the kids are happy and healthy and out the door on time for school, put the phone on do not disturb, KEEP FACEBOOK TURNED OFF!!!!!! yes I shouted at myself because that silly thing is my greatest distraction. So that is my goal for the week, it would be nice if I had some motivation or inspiration or something, so from now until next Sunday I hope to have at least 15000 words.

Samhain is almost Here and day 14/44 of witchiness; What is a favorite Pagan Holiday I like to celebrate

5 more Days until Samhain and 5 more days until I turn the Big 40..woot woot. So I'm gonna say that as part of the 44 days of witchiness, I'm gonna add this one as Day 14/44- What is a favorite Pagan Holiday I like to Celebrate? Well duh its obvious. This year is especially good because it falls on the year we have a party for the kids or teenagers now, I guess. So its gonna be like a 40th birthday party, except with teens...lol. The house is getting decorated, the pumpkins will be carved probably tomorrow, I have to bake and cook and clean, and make sure the movies are working properly by Saturday...UGH time to get the kids on board I think. So anyhow for Samhain (pronounced Sow-in), I like to set up an extra plate for those ancestors who have passed on and make a dinner in honor of our ancestors. Here's the Menu:

Appetizer; Bannock, which is a Native American Quick Bread, made for my native american Ancestors
2 1/2 cups of Flour
6 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 TBSP Sugar (optional)
1/3 cup shortening
2 eggs (optional)
1 cup of water or more
Method: Combine the first 4 ingredients, add shortening, rubbing it in to form fine crumbs. Combine Egg with water (if using an egg), and add to flour mixture, stir to form a soft dough, and knead briefly, If using a frying pan, grease the pan then dust with flour, place about a quarter of the dough in the pan and heat. Bake until the bottom is lightly brown, then flip. Bake about 10 mins on the opposite side. Bake remaining dough in similar fashion. If baking in the oven pat down into greased pie plate. Bake in 400 degree oven, for about 20 minutes, or until cooked in the middle. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top while still warm.

Salad: Caesar Salad; this is a Family favorite and very simple to make; Romaine Lettuce, Caesar Salad Dressing, Croutons and some parmeson cheese, then mix it all together.

Main Dish: Varenki, Made for my Russian Ancestors

Dessert: Apple Crisp, made in honor of my Norwegian ancestors, Okay not exactly a norwegian recipe, I made Apple Cake once also known as Eplekake, but this year I'm making things simple and buying some Apple Crisp.

Beverage: Apple Juice for the Girls and a glass of wine for me.

So what are the Activities we plan on doing; Well going out getting candy for one, then I have a special Ritual I like to do to remember my loved ones, I'll add that on Later, maybe tomorrow

Day 10/44- Your Sun Sign

This is my Sun Sign, which really answers a lot of questions to why I am the way I am.

Scorpio Astrology October 23 - November 21

Scorpio Strength Keywords:

- Loyal
- Passionate
- Resourceful
- Observant
- Dynamic

Scorpio Weakness Keywords:

- Jealous
- Obsessive
- Suspicious
- Manipulative
- Unyielding

Scorpio and Independence:

Scorpios are fiercely independent. They are able to accomplish anything they put their mind to and they won't give up. They are perfectly suited to being on their own. They are not social butterflies like some other zodiac signs and some actually prefer to live on their own that way there is never any issue of who controls what at home, they like to be in control.

Scorpio and Friendship:

Relationships with Scorpio are always complicated, just like the person, their relationships are a series of extremes, they can even be downright moody for no apparent reason. Scorpios are known for their possessiveness and jealousy but on the other hand, they are extremely loyal. Scorpios have an excellent memory and combined with an inability to let things go, they can hold a grudge against someone who did them harm forever, in fact a Scorpio rarely if never forgives and forgets. They will even go as far as get vengeance on the person. On the other hand, they will always remember a kind gesture forever and repay it. Any kind selfless gesture done to a Scorpio will gain trust and respect which is extremely important to them in any relationship, either romantic or not. The best advice is to be honest with a Scorpio friend and in return, you will gain an amazing friend you will never forget and who will be loyal to you and never make false promises. Their truthful and shocking sense of humor if different than that of any other zodiac sign and the Scorpio makes an amazing, powerful interesting friend that can be trusted.

Scorpio and Business:

Scorpios make excellent doctors, surgeons, scientists and leaders, they are perfectly suited to any form of business that makes a difference in the world, greatly impacts people and society and a most importantly, Scorpio has to be in a power position, this is why these careers are suited to the Scorpio, they all demand one person in supreme control giving orders and leading a unit of people/practices. In business, Scorpios tend to easily gather wealth, they make very wise business decisions and they are very conservative about spending their money. Scorpios are known for making money and hiding it, they will not announce it due to to fear that others will take the same route and becoming a possible competitor, or worse try to use the Scorpio to their advantage to use them for their money.

Scorpio and Temperament:

Scorpios are extremely ambitious, persistent and determined which is shown through a power hungry, controlling attitude. Not in a stubborn sense however, because a Scorpio will work for what they want and control will justified reasons. This is obvious to any onlooker. A Scorpio never gives up, they are so determined to reach their goal. The key to this success is their flexibility. They are able to re-survey a situation and take a different approach if necessary. This makes them very adaptable and versatile.
